This Is NOT a Drill: There Is a Dating Site Looking to Help You Flee America, As Trump's Bid for Presidency Gets Real

If you’re like us and sick of Donald Trump’s shit, have no fear there is a new dating site looking to help Americans escape Trump's tyrannical behavior. Usher in Maple Match.

Touted as the service making it easy “for Americans to find the ideal Canadian partner to save them from the unfathomable horror of a Trump presidency.” Yes. You read correctly. This is not a test. There is a site willing to help you flee the “land of the free and home of the brave” before it is ruined by Trump’s policies. 

In an interview with Global News, CEO Joe Goldman said the site offers “opportunities for like-minded Canadians and Americans to build meaningful relationships and escape the unfathomable horror of [a] Trump presidency.” He continued, “We have seen immense traffic on our site over the last few days, and signups have surpassed our expectations. At this time, we are currently wait listing users and will begin matching as soon as we are able.”

Since Trump announced his bid for presidency and campaign is now moving full steam ahead, a number of Americans have been plotting their departure. According Google Data Editor Simon Rogers, Google searches for "How to move to Canada" surged in the hours after Trump won primaries in seven states, putting him that much closer to the presidency. Since March 2nd, the Google search spiked to 1,150 percent before declining to roughly 500 percent mark on the day. Rogers said on Twitter the numbers were "dynamic changing data."
